Provided by local Record Office? Isle of Wight County Record Office offers a fee-based (�15 per hour) research service. A maximum of three one-hour searches will be undertaken. Full details of the office's search service and charges are available on request. Contact: Richard Smout, County Archivist

County Record Office: extensive collections of parish registers of baptisms, marriages and burials (from 1539 onwards). As well as administrative records such as churchwardens' accounts and vestry minutes.
There are also some records of nonconformist churches, mainly Methodist register of baptisms.
